ShareLegendary Grammy Award-winning funk and soul band Kool & The Gang have announced a very special UK headline show at Liverpool M&S Bank Arena on Friday 26th July. Joining them as special guests will be Liverpool’s soul legends, The Real Thing.
Celebrating their 60th anniversary this year, Kool & The Gang have performed continuously longer than any R&B group in history and their bulletproof funk and jazzy arrangements have also made them the most sampled R&B band of all time.
Thanks to iconic songs like Celebration, Get Down On It, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Summer Madness, and Open Sesame, they’ve earned two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, a BET Soul Train Lifetime Achievement Award, star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, twenty-five top ten R&B hits, nine top ten pop hits and thirty-one gold and platinum albums.
Following their Rock the World tour last year, Kool & The Gang are excited to be heading back to the UK this summer appearing at two Festivals.
